Quoridor — strategy & planning

💡Benefits

Quoridor is a strategic game of placing walls and finding a path. You must plan your own route and think about how to block the opponent at the same time — this trains forward planning, spatial thinking and executive function (Diamond, 2013). Every move teaches you to calculate several steps ahead.

🎮How to play

The goal is to get your turtle to the opposite edge of the board. On each turn you choose one of two actions: move (one step to a green square) or place a wall (between squares, to slow the robot down). The number of walls is limited. Key rule: a wall may never completely block the path — there must always be a route to the edge left open. The first to reach the edge wins.
